Senior Certificate Results 2009

Our Matriculants of 2009 certainly did themselves and the Grey proud in achieving such commendable results in their final school examination.  It has been a wonderful 5-year ‘partnership’ – many thanks to all matric parents of 2009 for the spirit of co-operation and support that we were all privileged to enjoy.  Congratulations to these Matrics – now Old Greys.   Congratulations to our Director of Academic Studies, Mr George Symons – and congratulations to our Academic Staff from a proud Rector.  I know that our men of 2009 will continue to support their beloved school as loyal and passionate Old Greys.

It is now important, however, that we do not rest on our laurels and become complacent.  At the Grey we continually strive to ‘raise the bar’ in everything that we tackle.  Teaching and learning are our ‘core business’ and the staff will continue to stretch our men academically.  Mediocrity must never become part of our vocabulary.

The challenges of 2010 await us and we look forward to them with eager anticipation.  The Matrics of 2010 will know what is expected of them – not one subject failure amongst them in their Grade 11 final examination.  Show us what you can do this year.
